Tuko or Tokay Gecko is Medicines?

In recent years, adult Tokay Geckos have become a highly sought after gecko species in the Southeastasia countries (i.e. Malaysia, Thailand Indonesioa, etc.) due to the arrival f overseas buyers from north America, Western Europe , Australia, CHina, Japan, Singapore and the south Korea. These Tokay buyers are all over the countries in order to buy the adult TOkays of over 350 grams weight. A healthy Tokay gecko of this size (over 300 grams each) reportedly can be made into drugs/medication for the treatmen of HIV infection and the research of " Aquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome" (AIDS) cures.

The Tokay Gecko or Toko is now drastically turning into a threatened species in The Philippines because of indiscriminate hunting due to it's high fetching or selling price to Chinese buyers and other foreign buyers or pet traders. They say the Chinese have tapped into the Tokay's medicinal properties to cure cancer.
